Terms of Service for Envolya

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Envolya (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service allows users to:

• Create, send, and receive virtual letters.
• Create an account using an email/password or Google OAuth.

3. User Account

Creation:

You must provide a valid name and email address.

Security:

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password or Google account.

Deletion:

You may delete your account at any time through the profile settings.

4. User Content

Ownership:

You retain ownership of your virtual letters. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display your content.

Prohibited Content:

You may not post content that is:

• Illegal, defamatory, or hateful.
• Infringing on copyrights or privacy rights.
• Containing viruses or spam.

5. Unlocking a Letter and Retention

What you buy:

Unlocking is a one-time purchase attached to a single letter. It enables the customization features (background color and image, music, extra images, custom fonts) for that letter only, and removes the expiration of its sharing link. It is not a subscription and does not apply to your other letters.

Retention of free letters:

A letter that has not been unlocked is deleted 14 days after it was created, and its sharing link stops working after 7 days. A letter that has never been shared and has not been opened or edited for 3 days is deleted earlier, as soon as that delay has passed.

Retention of unlocked letters:

An unlocked letter is kept for as long as it is being read. If it has not been opened for 365 days, it is deleted along with its files. This deletion is permanent and we cannot restore the content afterwards.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Not use the Service for illegal purposes.
• Not disrupt the technical functioning of the website.
• Not attempt to access other users’ accounts.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service (logo, design, code) is the property of Envolya.

You may not copy, modify, or reuse any elements of the site without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted availability.
• Absence of errors or bugs.

We are not liable for indirect damages (e.g., data loss, lost profits).s

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if you:

• Violate these Terms or the law.
• Compromise the security of the Service.

10. GDPR and Personal Data

Data collected (name, email) is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by French law.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. Active users will be notified via email or through the Service.
